Amy Rose

Amy Rose has spent many years in the legal field as a paralegal and legal assistant. She has experience across diverse legal settings and many practice areas, including employment and labor law, municipal bonds, family law, personal injury, medical malpractice, and appellate work.

Ms. Rose has a graduate degree in the field of psychology, and is now pursuing her law degree at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law. She hopes to focus her future legal practice on family law, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, civil rights, employment and labor law, and real estate

Experience:

Amy has worked in the legal field since 1997. She has a wide variety of experience, ranging from working as litigation paralegal support in a firm of over 200 attorneys to serving as the solitary support to a sole practitioner.

Holding a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, Amy has worked as a high school and middle school counselor, and has taught as an adjunct professor in the psychology department at the Salt Lake Community College.

In addition to her work in the legal field and in psychology, Amy has served in many different volunteer capacities in the local community, and currently serves as the Executive Secretary of the Canyon Rim Citizens Association.

Amy has assisted attorneys in a broad range of practice areas, including employment and labor law, municipal bonds, family law, personal injury, medical malpractice, and appellate work.

As for her own future legal practice, Amy is particularly interested in family law, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, civil rights, employment and labor law, and real estate.


Personal:

Amy is a Utah native, but loves to travel, especially to the Pacific Northwest. She is very happily married and has three young children. She loves reading, playing with her kids, making and listening to music, and anything that gets her outdoors.

She has received recognition and numerous awards for academics and leadership, and has a great love for learning anything and everything – especially in the areas of diversity and social justice. She strives to be active in the community and politics, and is particularly passionate about advocating for civil rights.
